Filed under Glad you said it so I don’t have to are some good things and some very good things. Very good is first.
Les Payne, one of my favorite editorial writers, and a founder of the National Association of Black Journalists, takes down toxic racist Pat Buchanan on the NABJ site. Names4things would link to Buchanan’s bullshit for your edification, but N4T wouldn’t even touch that prick’s blog with your click. And to be real, Buchanan is so super fucking crazy hateful, no amount of reading, watching, or listening to his cak can do anyone any good. But hey– you don’t even have to read his shit, since Les Payne did it for you. Enjoy.
Roland S. Martin explains how the Clinton racist dog whistle worked, and why Bill Clinton’s still upset. It’s near the top of CNN’s most read list, so that’s a good thing as well.
Names4things cannot thank these two eloquent black men enough, for rescuing us briefly, from the oceans of ignorance we struggle against daily. Fontella Bass puts it right, although Chess Records did her wrong, giving her a royalty check so small, she tore it up in front of the owners. The Gems are backing her up, which included the incomparable Minnie Riperton.
