We can count on unctuous Al Sharpton for two things: keeping the press-and-curl hair did, and being an asshole. Hard to dislike in person, but way too easy to hate from a distance; Sharpton is taking on the Dunbar Village case. For those of you not familiar with it, I grabbed this from the Florida Sun-Sentinel to get you up to speed on the crimes and the victims.
The [35 year old] victim returned home from her job delivering phone books about 9 p.m. the night of the attack, according to her statement to police. While fixing her [12 year old] son something to eat, a young male with braids knocked on her door to tell her the tires on her truck were flat. Once outside, she said, she saw a male with a large gun and two others armed with guns. They wore black clothing over their faces, she said, and ordered her back into the apartment, where they demanded money.
After being told there was no money, the attackers tore off the woman’s clothes and raped her until five others arrived, according to the documents. The new arrivals took turns having sex with her and then sodomized her. The mother was then ordered into a tub filled with vinegar and water where they used hydrogen peroxide, alcohol, nail polish remover and ammonia on her. At gunpoint, the assailants forced the mother and son to have sex.
Throughout the attack, the victims suffered beatings, including having a bowl and lightbulbs smashed over their heads. The encounter was recorded on a cell phone camera, according to the mother.
All involved are reported to be black, and I’m certain your heart goes out to the mother and son who suffered these life-altering horrific attacks. But not if you’re Al Sharpton! Instead, he is speaking out on behalf of the rapers and torturers. As for the victims of this brutality? Well, they get a big giant serving of no justice with a side of no peace. Al Sharpton thinks they are secondary to the real problem, which is getting those raping sons of bitches– uh, back on the streets.
‘Why?’ you might reasonably wonder. Well, it all comes down to some dumbshit. Dunbar Village is in South Florida. So is Boca Raton. They’re close to each other, okay? One is rich and white, the other poor and black. One thing is not like the other, get it? Seven months after the Dunbar Village terrorism, two Boca Raton white girls, ages 13 and 14, decided to do vodka shots with a group of white boys ages 14-18. You know what happened.
The white rapers are now released on bond, and the Dunbar Village special rapers are still locked up. Maude Ford Lee of the West Palm Beach NAACP, explains her and Sharpton’s position in the Florida Sun-Sentinel thusly:
“We’re quite concerned it seems there is a different kind of action that takes place with black kids and white kids. We have one set of kids in Boca who have done primarily the same crime and they are home with their families. Our kids are incarcerated, they can’t even get a bond and it’s unconscionable what is happening.”
Ahh. So, Maude Ford Lee and Al Sharpton think a drunken rape without weapons, beatings, or hospitalizations, is equivalent to what happened to the mother and son in Dunbar Village? Yes. Unconscionable, indeed!
Wait. Were the white fuckers charged as adults? Because the black ones were. Well, yes. And I think it’s safe to say that if those white boys had done anything else, they’d be charged with more than sexual battery on a physically incapacitated person and lewd and lascivious battery. They were charged as adults, because their crimes are serious. When you’re doing vodka shots with your 13 and 14 year old friend, don’t rape them! No means no, dammit!
On the other hand, one of the survivors of the Dunbar Village abomination spoke of her assault to WPTV News in South Florida:
“Some of them had sex with me twice, some of them had sex with me three times. They’re beating me up. They make me do those things over and over. The man with the big gun, he put the gun inside of me. They have sex with me in the front, in my anus. I said please, I don’t do that kind of stuff.”
Despite the thin walls on her run-down apartment, no one heard her screams, or if they did, no one came to help.
“Nobody came for us, nobody even called the police for us. People in the next apartment, if they are talking, I can hear everything they say.”
I sure hope she doesn’t have to hear Sharpton and Ford Lee’s concerns for the demons who raped her and her son, because that would be really hard to take. That would mean that the loudest blacks rights organizations in the country, redefined their missions, on her and her son’s backs. Definitive opportunists, they are apparently taking this one to exclusively be concerned with nothing but our complete and total annihilation– and by clown logic! Fuck.
I don’t know about you, but I just tore up my checks to the National Action Network and the NAACP. The heads of those organizations demonstrate time and time again, that just like George Bush, they really don’t give a damn about black people.
